1. Trial Period
Clothing items are brought to you for an assisted home trial visit. Items must be used only for indoor size and fit checks during the visit, and unselected outfits go back immediately with the Style@Home assistant.
2. Care During Trial
- Do not wash, iron, steam, or alter the garments in any way.
- Keep items away from food, liquids, pets, and direct sunlight.
- Store items on hangers in a clean, dry, smoke-free location.
- Do not remove or damage any product tags — tags must remain fully intact at return.
- Try items indoors only; outdoor wear during the trial period is not permitted.
3. Damage Assessment
Our team inspects every item after the assisted visit using photographs taken before and after handling. Damage is assessed in the following categories:

| Minor | Small stains or loose threads that can be professionally cleaned | 30% of item price |
| Moderate | Torn fabric, significant staining, or strong residual smells | 70% of item price |
| Severe / Unreturnable | Damage beyond repair, tags removed, or item unusable | 100% of item price |
| Missing item | Any piece from the trial shortlist not returned with the assistant | 100% of item price |
Normal handling — gently trying items on indoors and returning them folded — is expected and never chargeable.
4. How We Communicate Charges
- If our inspection finds a chargeable issue, we will message you on WhatsApp after return QC.
- The message will include a brief description of the issue and photographs where applicable.
- You will have an opportunity to ask questions or raise a dispute before any payment link is sent.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please raise it within 3 days of receiving our WhatsApp message. We will pause any payment request and review the inspection records together with you.
For unresolved disputes, you may escalate to our grievance officer at hello@styleathome.in. We will always share the photographic evidence behind any charge.
